Following the ritual, he shared on social media: “Blessed to be at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. The Snan at the Sangam is a moment of divine connection, filling me with a spirit of devotion. May Maa Ganga bless all with peace, wisdom, good health, and harmony.”

Devotees continued to take dips at other temporary ghats even during the Prime Minister’s visit, ensuring uninterrupted access to the holy waters.

The Maha Kumbh Mela, a once-in-144-years event, has drawn over 38 crore pilgrims so far, with lakhs joining on February 5 alone. The Uttar Pradesh government has announced special arrangements to facilitate Sangam Snan for 2,000 senior citizens by the end of the festival, which concludes on February 26.

PM Modi’s presence at the Maha Kumbh resonates with his earlier visit in 2019, showcasing his connection to India’s rich spiritual traditions. Interestingly, the visit coincides with the Delhi Assembly elections, where the BJP is contesting to end the Aam Aadmi Party’s rule.

The Maha Kumbh Mela is not just a religious event but a significant cultural and economic milestone, embodying centuries of tradition and drawing global attention.
