
Several Killed As Car Rams Into Crowd At Festival In Vancouver, Canada

In a devastating incident, a car rammed into a crowd during a street festival in Vancouver, Canada, on Saturday night, resulting in several fatalities and multiple injuries.
The police confirmed that the incident occurred around 8 PM (local time) at E. 41st Avenue and Fraser Street, during the Lapu Lapu Day celebrations.
“A number of people have been killed and multiple others are injured after a driver drove into a crowd at a street festival. The driver is in custody. We will provide more information as the investigation unfolds,” the Vancouver Police Department said in a statement.

Vancouver’s Mayor Ken Sim expressed grief over the incident, saying:
“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the horrific incident at today’s Lapu Lapu Day event.”
Authorities are currently investigating the motive behind the incident and have assured that further updates will be provided as the probe continues.
