May 4, 2025: New York – Global icon Shah Rukh Khan has officially arrived in New York ahead of his speculated debut at the Met Gala 2025, and the internet is buzzing—not just about his appearance at fashion’s grandest night, but also for how modestly the superstar landed in the Big Apple.

Unlike the usual fanfare that follows the Bollywood legend, SRK was seen exiting the New York airport with only his longtime manager Pooja Dadlani and a single suitcase in tow, sans the entourage one might expect from India’s most beloved actor. Wearing a white T-shirt under a grey jacket, denim jeans, and dark sunglasses, Shah Rukh greeted fans outside with handshakes and hugs before making his way to his car.

While there’s been no official confirmation, speculation about SRK’s attendance was fueled after his manager Pooja liked a cryptic post on Instagram that hinted at his participation. A buzzworthy post by fashion account Diet Sabya teased:

“Two titans of their craft – the greatest Bollywood superstar and the biggest designer of our generation – are joining forces for their MET Gala 2025 debut…”

If confirmed, SRK will join Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh as Indian celebrities making their Met Gala debut on May 5, walking the red carpet at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The theme for this year’s event is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, based on Monica L. Miller’s acclaimed book Slaves to Fashion, celebrating the rich heritage and cultural influence of Black dandyism.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is next slated to star in Siddharth Anand’s action-thriller King alongside Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Suhana Khan. The film is scheduled for a 2026 global release.
