Fans Gather Outside Hospital for Shakira

As soon as news of Shakira’s hospitalization broke, fans gathered outside Clinica Delgado Auna in Lima, Peru, where she is receiving treatment. Images and videos of concerned fans holding banners and sending prayers have since gone viral.

Shakira’s Expected Recovery Timeline

Despite the unexpected health issue, Shakira remains optimistic about her recovery. She is hopeful to be discharged by Monday and resume her scheduled tour stops. If all goes well, she is expected to perform in Peru the same evening, before heading to Colombia for her next set of shows.

Shakira’s Tour and Ongoing Controversies

Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour began on February 11 in Rio de Janeiro, just days after she won a Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album. The South American leg of her tour is scheduled to run until March 8, after which she will move on to Mexico and North America.

However, her tour has not been without controversy. Some fans have accused her of copying Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour, pointing out similarities in stage design, metallic aesthetics, and silver-themed branding. While this has sparked online debate, Shakira continues to enjoy overwhelming support from her global fanbase.

What’s Next?

For now, all eyes are on Shakira’s health and whether she will be fit to return to the stage as planned. Fans eagerly await an official rescheduled date for her Peru concert and updates on her recovery.
