Sindhi Leader Shafi Burfat Backs India's Anti-Terror Strikes, Labels Pakistan a "Rogue Villain"
May 07, 2025: Shafi Burfat, Chairman of the Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM), has voiced strong support for India’s counter-terrorism efforts, denouncing Pakistan’s continued patronage of extremist groups and framing the conflict as a fight between justice and terrorism.
Burfat stated that India’s recent precision strikes are not acts of aggression against Pakistan or its people but necessary actions to dismantle terrorist infrastructure within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied territories. “This is not a war between two nations. It is a moral fight against extremist forces nurtured by the Pakistani establishment,” Burfat declared.
He accused Pakistan’s military of sheltering groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and individuals like Hafiz Saeed, using them to destabilize the region and fuel global insecurity. “By defending terrorists, Pakistan shows itself to be a morally bankrupt state thriving on violence,” he said.
Calling on the international community to recognize Pakistan’s role in fostering terrorism, Burfat labeled India as a “responsible hero” protecting peace and humanity. He praised India’s strikes as measured and focused on eliminating threats while sparing civilians.
“This is a battle between justice and injustice. Every Indian sacrifice should be seen as a stand for global peace. Pakistan’s setbacks are blows to the machinery of terrorism,” he said.
Burfat ended by calling Pakistan an “unnatural state” and expressed solidarity with India’s efforts, asserting that the world must stand with India in its just cause. As the head of a Sindhi nationalist party advocating for Sindh’s independence, Burfat’s support also reflects growing internal dissent in Pakistan against extremism and centralised military power.
