“In view of the volatile security situation between India and Pakistan, Singaporeans are advised to defer all non-essential travel to Jammu & Kashmir in India, and to Pakistan,” the MFA advisory stated.
Singaporeans currently in these regions have been urged to exercise extreme caution, avoid large gatherings, monitor local media closely, and follow the instructions of local authorities. The MFA has also encouraged citizens to eRegister with the ministry for updates and support while traveling abroad.
The MFA has made consular assistance available and shared contact information for Singaporean missions in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai:
The travel advisory follows India’s targeted precision strikes on terrorist infrastructure across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) as part of Operation Sindoor, in retaliation to the deadly Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians, including tourists.
