
Suicide Attack in Pakistan’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Kills 10 TTP Militants; Days After Deadly Train Siege
March 13, 2025: A suicide bombing and terrorist attack rocked Pakistan’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province on Thursday, just days after the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) train siege. 10 Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants were killed following an attempted assault on the Jandola checkpost near a Frontier Corps camp in South Waziristan.

📌 According to the Global Terrorism Index 2025, Pakistan recorded 1,081 terror attacks in 2024, a 45% rise from 748 in 2023.
📌 Pakistan now ranks 2nd globally in terrorism-related deaths, moving up from 4th place in the previous year.
📌 96% of attacks occurred in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, regions bordering Afghanistan, further exacerbating security concerns.
With rising TTP and BLA insurgencies, Pakistan’s security forces face an uphill battle in stabilizing its conflict-prone western provinces. The Afghanistan-Pakistan nexus remains crucial in determining the future trajectory of militancy in the region.
