Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni called out the global left’s double standards, praised Donald Trump’s leadership, and urged for stronger security measures to protect freedom and sovereignty.

Washington DC [US], February 23: Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has strongly criticized the global left, accusing them of double standards while highlighting the rise of a new conservative movement led by world leaders including Donald Trump, Narendra Modi, and Javier Milei.

Addressing the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) via video link, Meloni declared that the left-wing establishment is in panic mode as conservative leaders continue to gain power and collaborate on a global scale.

“With Trump’s victory, their irritation has turned into hysteria. Not only because conservatives are winning, but because conservatives are now collaborating globally,” she asserted.

“The Left’s Hypocrisy is Exposed”

Meloni slammed the left-wing political elite, pointing out their contradictions in labeling conservative leaders as threats while glorifying past liberal alliances.

“When Bill Clinton and Tony Blair created the global leftist liberal network in the 90s, they were called statesmen. Today, when Trump, Meloni, Milei, or maybe Modi talk, they are called a threat to democracy,” she said.

Calling it “the left’s double standard,” Meloni declared that people are no longer falling for the lies.

“Despite all the mud they throw at us, citizens continue to vote for us because we defend freedom. We love our nations. We want secure borders. We preserve businesses and citizens. We defend family and life. We fight against wokeism. We protect our sacred right to our faith and our free speech. And we stand for common sense. Our struggle is hard, but the choice is simple.”

“Security is Freedom—We Must Defend It”

Meloni also emphasized the importance of strong security measures to maintain peace and stability in Europe, arguing that freedom is only possible through strength and courage.

“Happiness depends on freedom, and freedom depends on courage. We proved this when we stopped invasions, won our independencies, and overthrew dictators,” she stated.

She urged the world to continue supporting Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression, calling for a just and lasting peace, built on strong leadership.

“With Trump, the Disasters of the Past Won’t Happen Again”

Meloni strongly backed Donald Trump, asserting that his leadership ensures security and stability in the world.

“I know that with Donald Trump leading the United States, we will never again see the disaster we saw in Afghanistan four years ago,” she said.

She highlighted key conservative priorities:

  • Border security
  • Energy security
  • Economic security
  • Food security
  • National defense

“If you are not secure, you are not free. And when freedom is at risk, the only thing you can do is put it in the wiser hands,” Meloni added.

A Call to Preserve Civilization for Future Generations

Meloni concluded her speech with a call to action, urging conservatives to stand together to prevent the decline of civilizations and ensure a stronger future.

“I made my choice long ago, and I fight every day to honor it. And I know that I am not alone in this battle. You are all standing with me. We are all standing together. And believe me, this makes all the difference,” she declared.

As conservative leaders strengthen their global cooperation, Meloni’s remarks at CPAC signal a rising movement to reshape international politics in favor of national sovereignty and conservative values.
