In her fifth appearance at fashion’s grandest night, Priyanka Chopra dazzled in a gender-fluid polka-dot Balmain creation, celebrating Black sartorial legacy alongside a stylish Nick Jonas.

New York [US], May 6: It was a night of fashion, heritage, and elevated glamour as Priyanka Chopra Jonas made a striking return to the Met Gala 2025, holding hands with husband Nick Jonas on the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Marking her fifth Met Gala appearance, the global icon turned heads in a custom-designed polka dot suit dress by Olivier Rousteing for Balmain — a perfect nod to this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

With its structured silhouette and nod to classic Hollywood tailoring, the outfit reimagined dandy fashion through a gender-fluid, contemporary lens. The look also honored the cultural exploration of Black sartorial identity, tying into the evening’s central theme.

Priyanka’s ensemble was elevated further with Bvlgari’s high jewellery, reflecting her role as the luxury brand’s global ambassador. Completing the red carpet moment was Nick Jonas, who looked equally dapper in a perfectly coordinated tailored suit. In a tender moment, he was seen adjusting the trail of Priyanka’s outfit — a sweet reminder of the couple’s journey, which began at their first joint Met Gala in 2017.

The 2025 Met Gala wasn’t just another fashion event — it was a celebration of inclusion, identity, and artistry. This year’s exhibition, curated by Andrew Bolton and Monica L. Miller, was inspired by Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion, examining the legacy of Black style from the 18th century to now.

The star-studded gala also saw Indian celebrities shine on a global stage, with Shah Rukh Khan, Kiara Advani, Diljit Dosanjh, Isha Ambani, and Natasha Poonawala joining Priyanka in representing India at fashion’s most revered night.
