The former and now 47th President of the United States posted on his platform, Truth Social,
“Both Israel and Iran wanted to stop the War, equally! It was my great honour to Destroy All Nuclear facilities & capability, and then, STOP THE WAR.”
Trump’s remarks followed nearly two weeks of intense military escalation in the Middle East, beginning with Israel’s coordinated airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear sites on June 13, part of Operation Rising Lion.
Iran retaliated swiftly with missile and drone attacks on Israeli infrastructure under Operation True Promise 3. The conflict intensified when the United States entered the fray, launching precision airstrikes on Iran’s three key nuclear facilities — Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan — under Operation Midnight Hammer.
