Trump Sparks Controversy with AI-Generated Video Depicting "Trump Gaza" as a Luxury Resort
Washington DC [US], February 27: US President Donald Trump has ignited a political firestorm after posting an AI-generated video on his Truth Social account, portraying Gaza as a futuristic luxury resort. The video, which features a golden statue of Trump, Elon Musk dancing on a beach, and American and Israeli leaders celebrating, promotes Trump’s controversial proposal to expel 2.1 million Palestinians and turn Gaza into a US-owned “Riviera.”
“No more tunnels, no more fear—Trump Gaza is finally here!” sings a voiceover in the video, set to an upbeat dance beat.
The video’s release has sparked global outrage, with Palestinian officials condemning it as a violation of international law and Arab leaders preparing to discuss a formal response.
The AI-generated clip begins with Palestinian children walking through the rubble of Gaza. A title card then asks, “What’s next?” before transitioning to a futuristic city skyline along Gaza’s coast.
As the video progresses, viewers see bikini-clad dancers, a child holding a golden Trump-shaped balloon, and Musk showered in US dollars. The final scene depicts Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sipping drinks on a pristine beach.
CNN reported that Trump’s video directly ties into his proposal to:
The Palestinian Authority (PA) and Hamas have strongly condemned Trump’s video and proposal.
PA Foreign Minister Varsen Aghabekian Shaheen slammed the idea as a “serious violation of international law,” recalling the displacement of Palestinians during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war.
Meanwhile, Hamas’ Government Media Office in Gaza labeled the video “disgraceful” and “racist,” accusing Trump of supporting Israel’s military occupation and ethnic cleansing.
“This video reflects the deeply rooted colonial mindset that seeks to justify the occupation’s crimes. It attempts to erase an entire people from history,” said Gaza Director-General Ismail Al-Thawabtah.
In response to Trump’s video and his broader Gaza proposal, Arab leaders gathered in Riyadh on Friday to discuss a united position. Another meeting is scheduled for March 4 in Cairo, with a possible formal response to Trump in the coming weeks.
Despite global criticism, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has endorsed Trump’s proposal and opposes the formation of an independent Palestinian state.
It remains uncertain whether Trump plans to formally act on his Gaza proposal or if the video was merely a provocative stunt. However, with escalating tensions and international scrutiny, the debate over “Trump Gaza” is far from over.
