Trump’s Policy Roadmap: Tariffs, Deportations, and Promises of Global Peace
Washington, DC [US], December 23: As Donald Trump prepares to return to the White House for a second term on January 20, 2025, the US President-elect has outlined bold domestic and foreign policies, including increased trade tariffs, mass deportations, and promises of brokering global peace.
During his campaign and recent public statements, Trump emphasized a return to his “America First” foreign policy, with trade protectionism, immigration control, and strong diplomatic moves at the forefront of his agenda.
Trump has vowed to impose 100% tariffs on BRICS nations—including India—if they attempt to replace the US dollar in international trade.
“The idea that the BRICS Countries are trying to move away from the Dollar while we stand by and watch is OVER. They will face 100% tariffs if they attempt this,” Trump declared on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Additionally:
Trump also made light-hearted remarks about Canada, joking that it could become the 51st state of the United States, sparking both humor and concern among political observers.
Trump confirmed he would declare a national emergency to carry out mass deportations of undocumented migrants.
In a social media response, Trump wrote, “TRUE!!!” in agreement with reports suggesting military assets may be used to execute mass deportations.
Trump has claimed he can end the Russia-Ukraine war within 24 hours but has not detailed the exact steps he would take.
During a trilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Paris, Trump emphasized the need for immediate peace negotiations.
“Too many lives are being so needlessly wasted. There should be an immediate ceasefire and negotiations should begin. China can help. The World is waiting,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
Regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict, Trump warned:
“If hostages are not released by January 20, 2025, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked Trump for his “strong stance” on hostage release.
As Trump prepares to assume office, his policies on trade, immigration, and international diplomacy signal significant shifts in US domestic and global strategies. His leadership promises an era of bold decisions and high-stakes diplomacy, with both supporters and critics watching closely.
