U.S.: Ex-WWE CEO Linda McMahon is Education Secretary
Washington: Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) CEO Linda McMahon has been officially confirmed as the United States Secretary of Education, following a contentious Senate vote on Monday. McMahon, a longtime ally of Donald Trump, will oversee the department as Trump pushes for a radical decentralization of federal education policy.
Trump, who vowed to dismantle the Department of Education, has instructed McMahon to “put herself out of a job” by shifting power to state governments.
