UAE Launches Lifetime Golden Visa for Indians: All You Need to Know About Eligibility, Process and Perks
July-7, 2025: Dubai/New Delhi – In a significant move to broaden its immigration policy, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has introduced a nomination-based Golden Visa specifically tailored for Indian professionals, allowing them lifetime residency in the Gulf nation. The initiative marks a departure from traditional wealth- or property-based visa systems and reflects the UAE’s deepening strategic ties with India.
Launched as a pilot program with India and Bangladesh as the first test countries, the new Golden Visa system no longer solely requires massive investment in real estate or business. Instead, the visa can now be acquired via nomination, based on professional merit and background clearance. The initiative is spearheaded by Rayad Group, which has been selected to evaluate initial applicants in India.
Professionals from various sectors can now apply — including:
Applicants pay a lifetime visa fee of AED 1,00,000 (approx. ₹23.3 lakh). The Rayad Group will conduct initial vetting that includes:

Once vetted, applications are forwarded to UAE authorities for final approval. Pre-approval from India is also possible — no visit to Dubai is necessary during application. Submissions can be made via One VASCO centres, Rayad Group offices, or online portals.
According to Rayad Kamal Ayub, Managing Director of Rayad Group, “This is a golden opportunity for Indians to live, work, and thrive in Dubai without conventional investment barriers.”
India’s inclusion in the initial rollout signals strong economic and geopolitical ties with the UAE, especially following the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed in 2022. More than 5,000 Indian professionals are expected to apply within the first three months.
The Golden Visa nomination process is part of the UAE’s broader effort to attract global talent and reinforce bilateral relationships with key CEPA partners. Other countries like Bangladesh and China are expected to be included in subsequent phases.
The nomination-based Golden Visa offers a transformative residency opportunity to qualified Indian professionals seeking global exposure without large capital investment. With the UAE strengthening its ties to India, this scheme could be a game-changer for talent mobility across borders.
