Unbelievable Spiritual Homecoming: Buddha’s Sacred Relics Mesmerize Millions in Vietnam

May 28, 2025: In a mind-blowing spiritual event, the holy relics of Lord Buddha from Sarnath have reached Truc Lam Yen Tu Pagoda in Vietnam‘s Quang Ninh province, marking a historic moment in the ongoing Vietnam tour from May 3 to June 2.

Initially scheduled to conclude by May 21, the exposition was extended till June 2 following a special request from the Vietnamese Government—testifying to the unbelievable emotional and spiritual resonance the relics have created.

As the relics arrived in Yen Tu, a site sacred in Vietnamese Buddhism, an estimated 2 million devotees gathered in awe. People lined the roads from early dawn, some weeping with emotion, waving flags, and chanting “Buddham Sharanam Gacchami” as they caught their first glimpse of the Enlightened One’s relics—some waiting since 4 AM for this once-in-a-lifetime moment.

The relics’ arrival at Yen Tu Pagoda—on the sacred mountain where King Tran Nhan Tong founded the Truc Lam Zen sect over 700 years ago—was symbolic of both spiritual revival and cultural pride.

The event is more than a religious milestone; it’s a verified testament to the 2,000-year-old civilizational bond between India and Vietnam. This journey, supported by Indian dignitaries and transported in a special military aircraft, has been a living example of India’s Act East Policy, emphasizing not just strategic cooperation but deep-rooted cultural diplomacy.

So far, over 12.95 million people across six Vietnamese cities have paid homage. The journey ends in Danang, a city with strong Buddhist roots, where a massive turnout is expected once again.

This spiritual odyssey has become one of the top 10 most emotional and unifying events in recent Vietnamese history, reawakening a shared consciousness of peace, compassion, and timeless values that transcend borders.

As the golden shrine glows and chants fill the air, one shocking fact stands out: The spirit of the Buddha still walks among us—uniting, healing, and inspiring millions.
