Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India]: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the officials to conduct relief work in rain-hit districts, an official statement said on Tuesday.
CM Yogi also directed the officials to provide relief amounts to people affected by the inclement weather.
“There should be proper water drainage systems in case of water logging in areas. The danger mark of the rivers should be continuously reviewed”, CM Yogi said in the official statement.
In addition, the UP CM has also instructed the officials to take stock of the damage caused to the crops due to heavy rains and provide compensation to the farmers accordingly.
Meanwhile, farmers in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad are upset over the damage caused to the crops during incessant rains in the district.
The Moradabad District Magistrate visited the fields and ordered the officials to conduct a survey of the damage that occurred.
“In case someone is left out of the survey, they can submit an application and the compensation amount will be provided to them within the next 72 hours”, said Manvendra Singh, District Magistrate, Moradabad.
In the capital Lucknow, incessant rainfall led to heavy waterlogging in several areas on Monday morning.
Residents faced problems in the lower areas of Sadar in the district due to waterlogging and road subsidence.
As continuous rains battered the city, traffic was also disrupted.
