“We Deserve More Seats In Kerala”: Indian Union Muslim League Leader PK Kunhalikutty
Ernakulam (Kerala) [India]: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) National General Secretary, PK Kunhalikutty has said that the league deserves more seats to contest in Kerala and it is planning to contest in other states by collaborating with other parties.
PK Kunhalikutty was inaugurating the Ernakulam Parliament Constituency Convention as a preparation for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
Speaking to media, Kunhalikutty said, “We have aspirations, we are a secular party. We will ally with other secular parties, what is wrong in allying with other secular parties? We have not started the seat discussion yet but we deserve more seats in Kerala and there is no doubt about that. We have been contesting on only two seats in Kerala.”
Further hitting out at the BJP, he said, “Naturally, they (BJP) can campaign but I don’t think the BJP will have a victory in Kerala because Kerala is a strong secular state. There is no scope for such politics here.”
The Indian Muslim League leader also said that they are planning to contest in other states by collaborating with other parties such as with AIADMK in Tamil Nadu.
