
Weather Forecast for June 20, 2025: Rain Likely in Delhi-NCR; Heavy Showers Expected in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Rajasthan
June 20, 2025: The monsoon has officially arrived in several parts of India, bringing much-needed relief from the scorching summer heat. States like Delhi-NCR, Punjab, and Haryana have already experienced rainfall, resulting in a noticeable drop in temperatures. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert for various regions in Jharkhand, Bihar, and Rajasthan.
After covering Jharkhand and Bihar, the monsoon has now extended to Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Rain showers in Delhi-NCR have brought down temperatures significantly, offering a welcome respite to residents. Following Delhi, Punjab and Haryana also received rainfall, which led to below-normal maximum temperatures in most areas on Thursday.

Delhi is expected to witness overcast skies on Friday with chances of light rainfall in some areas. The IMD has issued a yellow alert warning for potential thunderstorms and lightning. Winds may gust at speeds of 30 to 40 km/h. The maximum temperature is forecasted to hover between 36°C to 38°C, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 27°C to 29°C. Residents can expect relief from heatwave conditions.
