January 31, 2025: The excitement for Wednesday fans just got bigger! On January 30, Netflix unveiled the first look at the highly anticipated second season of the Jenna Ortega-led series. The sneak peek was shared as part of a promotional sizzle reel, which teases many of the exciting titles coming to the streaming service in 2025.

In the video, viewers are introduced to a young woman attempting to watch Stranger Things during a work meeting but finds herself transported through various realms of Netflix programming. From interacting with Squid Game guards to the eerie Black Mirror logo, the reel teases a universe of familiar Netflix content. The highlight comes when the woman is seen sporting Wednesday Addams’ iconic braided ponytails and wearing a Nevermore Academy uniform. Jenna Ortega then makes her appearance, reprising her role as the beloved gothic teen.

Wednesday, produced by Tim Burton (who also directed the first season), was an instant success when it debuted on Netflix in November 2022. The show follows Ortega’s Wednesday Addams as she navigates her life at Nevermore Academy, where she grapples with both supernatural mysteries and typical teenage struggles.

Alongside Ortega, key cast members from Season 1, including Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Moosa Mostafa, Victor Dorobantu, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Isaac Ordonez, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, will return for the second season. However, it’s been reported that Percy Hynes White, Jamie McShane, and Naomi J. Ogawa will not reprise their roles in the upcoming season.
