What’s Causing the Delay in Hera Pheri 3?
Paresh Rawal breaks silence on controversies, lawsuit buzz and shooting timeline
January 29, 2026: Fans have been eagerly waiting for Hera Pheri 3, which marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty. The film ran into controversy last year after Paresh Rawal announced his exit, a move that surprised fans as well as Akshay Kumar, who owns the franchise rights. Paresh has since confirmed that he is back on board and revealed that the film is now back on track, with shooting expected to begin around February or March.
In a light-hearted chat with The Comedy Factory on YouTube, Paresh Rawal addressed the rumours and legal chatter surrounding the project. Reacting to reports that Akshay Kumar had sued him for ₹25 crore, the actor dismissed the claims as exaggerated noise. Speaking in Gujarati, Paresh clarified that the issue was purely a technical matter between the producer and Akshay Kumar, adding that it had nothing to do with him personally. He said once the matter is resolved, he will simply sign the paperwork and proceed with the film.
Paresh Rawal had announced his exit from Hera Pheri 3 in May last year, following which Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films, initiated legal action related to the project. However, the veteran actor later confirmed his return, reassuring fans that the iconic comedy franchise is finally moving forward after months of uncertainty.
