Speaking at the FII Priority Summit in Miami, former US President Donald Trump claimed that the world was on the brink of war under Joe Biden’s leadership but assured that his return to office would prevent global conflict.

Miami [US], February 21: Former US President Donald Trump issued a stark warning during his speech at the FII Priority Summit in Miami, stating that “World War III is not far away” but insisted that under his leadership, it would be avoided.

Trump blamed the Biden administration for escalating global tensions and suggested that had Biden remained in office longer, the world would already be engulfed in war.

“There’s no profit for anyone in having World War III, and you’re not so far away from it. I’ll tell you right now. You’re not so far away. If we would’ve had this administration for another year, you would’ve been in a war, and now it’s not going to happen,” Trump declared.

Despite his dire warning, Trump reassured that the United States would not engage in unnecessary conflicts but would still maintain its global military dominance.

“We’re going to stop people from these stupid, never-ending wars. We’re not going to partake in them ourselves, but we’ll be stronger and more powerful than anybody by far. And if it ever came to war, there is nobody that will be able to come close to us. But we don’t think that’s going to ever happen,” he added.

Criticism of Ukraine Aid and Zelenskyy

Trump also took aim at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and questioned the United States’ financial support for Ukraine in its ongoing war with Russia. He claimed that the US had spent significantly more than Europe, despite receiving no tangible return.

Trump accused Zelenskyy of convincing the US to invest billions in a war that he believed was unwinnable.

“Think of it, a modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, talked the United States of America into spending $350 billion, to go into a war that couldn’t be won, that never had to start. But a war that he, without the US and ‘TRUMP,’ will never be able to settle,” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.

In a separate post on X (formerly Twitter), Trump cited billionaire Elon Musk’s support for his stance on Ukraine.

“Elon Musk: The President’s instincts on Ukraine are absolutely right. It is really sad that so many parents have lost their sons, and so many sons their fathers in this pointless war,” Trump quoted.

As Trump positions himself for a potential return to the White House, his statements underscore his foreign policy stance—one that emphasizes reducing American involvement in global conflicts while maintaining military supremacy.
