X complied with the order but expressed concerns over censorship and freedom of speech, noting in a statement:

“In most cases, the Indian government has not specified which posts from an account have violated India’s local laws. For a significant number of accounts, we did not receive any evidence or justification to block the accounts.”

Impact and User Response

Social media users flooded forums like Reddit and other platforms to complain about the sudden inability to post content or access important features. Some expressed concerns that the outage might be connected to the recent government orders.
