Youtuber Ranveer Allahbadia Causes Outrage by Inappropriate Comment on Parents’ Sex Life on Samay Raina’s Show

Criticism pours in as YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia sparks a backlash for an inappropriate comment during an episode of “India’s Got Latent.”

February 10, 2025: YouTuber-podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known for his “BeerBiceps” channel, has landed in hot water after making a controversial remark during comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube reality show, India’s Got Latent. The incident has drawn widespread criticism from viewers and prominent voices on social media.

In the show, Allahbadia posed a question to a contestant, stating, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?” The episode, which also featured creators like Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija (known as “The Rebel Kid”), quickly went viral for the wrong reasons. Many slammed the remark as inappropriate and tasteless.

Backlash from the Public

The remark drew condemnation on social media, with audio storyteller and author Neelesh Misra leading the charge. Misra criticized the creators for their lack of responsibility, stating, “This content is not marked as adult content and can easily reach children through algorithms. The platform and its creators show zero accountability.”

Misra further added, “Decency is not incentivized in India by platforms or audiences. Creators are stooping lower and lower for reach and revenue. Freedom of speech cannot be an excuse for banal, crass, and insensitive content.”

Public and Legal Reactions

Many users echoed Misra’s sentiments, calling the comment “extremely inappropriate” and urging Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to take action against such creators. One user said, “This will leave a detrimental impact on children and youth who watch this content.”

Some also dragged other creators associated with the show into the controversy, while another remarked on the degrading quality of humor in recent times.

Interestingly, this is not the first controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent. Recently, a contestant from Arunachal Pradesh faced backlash and legal complaints for an insensitive remark on dog meat.

Allahbadia Silent Amid Criticism

While the controversy continues to grow, Ranveer Allahbadia has remained silent on the matter.

The incident has once again raised questions about the accountability of digital content creators and the platforms that host such content.
