In the wake of the end of the writers and actors’ strikes, Netflix recently updated fans on the 5th Season of one of the most popular series produced by the Duffer Brothers, ‘Stranger Things’. In a recent post, Netflix confirmed “Stranger Things is officially back in production”.
But before you get too eager, it is going to be a long, long time before ‘Stranger Things’ season 5 gets a release date.
This was confirmed by Millie Bobby Brown, who plays the role of Eleven, the main protagonist in the series. While promoting her latest movie “Damsel” also available on Netflix, she revealed that there was atleast 9 months of filming left for the horror series.
Nine month of filming plus 5-8 months of post-production would push the release date to somewhere around the Summer of 2025, over an year from now.
‘Stranger Things’ is ending after season 5, and the producers are tight-lipped about the big reveal as well as the ending of the series. In fact even the Cast is unaware of how the series would end.
Finn Wolfhard, who portrays Mike Wheeler ever since Netflix’s hit sci-fi series began in 2016, confirms that the ‘Stranger Things’ cast has yet to discover what season 5’s ending will hold, but shared his hopes for the conclusion.
While, Season 5 will bring Stranger Things’ main storyline to a close, but work on spin-off series and animated projects has already begun to expand the series.
