US Issues ‘Do Not Travel’ Advisory for 21 Countries: Is India One of Them?

Citing risks from armed conflict, crime, and political instability, the US State Department warns citizens to avoid travel to high-risk destinations including Russia, Iran, and Haiti.

Washington, May 1:
As summer travel plans take shape, the US State Department has renewed or issued ‘Level 4: Do Not Travel’ advisories for 21 countries, citing severe safety risks including armed conflict, terrorism, kidnapping, and civil unrest.

The Level 4 advisory is the highest travel warning issued by the US government. While some advisories have been in place for months due to ongoing geopolitical instability, others have been updated more recently.

Gaza is similarly listed due to ongoing armed conflict and security risks.
