Indian actor and motorsport enthusiast Ajith Kumar added another feather to his racing cap this weekend as his team clinched a third-place finish at the 12H Mugello endurance race in Italy. The celebration? A full-on champagne shower on the podium that left the Tamil superstar smiling from ear to ear.

Ajith’s AK Racing Team, competing in the prestigious 24H Series, celebrated the win in true racing style, with teammates Fabian Danz, Mathieu Detry, and the Bas Koeten Racing crew popping champagne bottles. Fans cheered from the stands as Ajith proudly held the Indian flag on the podium.

Drenched in Glory

In a video shared on social media, Ajith was seen laughing as his teammates poured champagne over him—even down the back of his driving suit. After some help opening his own bottle, the actor joined in, playfully soaking his teammates in return.

While racing remains a priority, Ajith also continues his film career. He was last seen in Magizh Thirumeni’s “Vidaamuyarchi”, co-starring Trisha, Arjun Sarja, and Regina Cassandra. The film had a lukewarm box office run.
