Over ₹3.48 Crore in Cash, Gold, and Silver Donated at Karnataka’s Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in 30 Days

Donations poured in over 30 days during the birth anniversary celebrations of the 16th-century saint; visuals of over 100 priests counting cash go viral.

Bengaluru, March 23 – Devotees at the revered Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Raichur, Karnataka have donated a staggering ₹3,48,69,621 in cash, along with 32 grams of gold and 1.24 kilograms of silver during a 30-day period of religious celebrations.

The donations were made as part of the birth anniversary festivities of Raghavendra Swamy, a highly respected 16th-century saint and philosopher. The spiritual event attracted lakhs of devotees from across the country, many of whom contributed generously.

A video capturing the massive donation count has gone viral on social media, showing over a hundred priests meticulously counting the piles of cash offerings inside the mutt premises.

Last year, the temple also welcomed prominent global and Indian personalities. Former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, along with his wife Akshata Murty, daughter of Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy, visited the mutt in Bengaluru. They were accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP Sudha Murthy, and were seen participating in the aarti ceremony at the shrine.


With temple donations often seen as a measure of public faith and devotion, this offering has once again highlighted the spiritual and cultural importance of the Raghavendra Swamy Mutt.
