Prince William Breaks Queen Elizabeth’s Rule, Does This!

During his visit to Estonia, Prince William was seen posing for selfies with admirers — a warm departure from Queen Elizabeth II’s long-standing tradition of avoiding public photographs.

Prince William, the heir to the British throne, is quietly modernising royal tradition. During his recent visit to Estonia, William was seen engaging closely with the public — taking selfies with fans, a significant break from the informal rule set by his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who traditionally discouraged such photographs.

Captured smiling warmly and even taking people’s phones to snap pictures himself, William spent nearly 40 minutes mingling with the crowds, according to reports from The Express. His casual, approachable style marked a refreshing shift in royal engagements, instantly winning praise from fans, particularly among younger generations.

Royal experts are noting the subtle change with keen interest.

“William appears to be taking a new approach to public engagements,” said Emily Ferguson, Royal Editor at The Express. “On the first day of his trip, he fully embraced the crowds and appeared to revel in the dozens of requests for selfies.”

While the exact motivations behind this protocol shift remain unclear, many observers believe it reflects William’s ongoing efforts to connect with Gen Z and millennial audiences. His relaxed, down-to-earth gestures could be part of a broader strategy to maintain the monarchy’s relevance in modern times.

Meanwhile, the Prince and his wife Kate Middleton are preparing to celebrate a special personal milestone.
The couple will mark their 14th wedding anniversary with a quiet two-day getaway to the Isles of Mull and Iona in Scotland, staying in a small, isolated self-catered cottage — far from the public eye but close to the dramatic, breathtaking landscapes they both cherish.
