Sara Tendulkar Steps Into Leadership Role-Deets Inside

“Carrying forward her family’s legacy, Sara joins the Foundation to drive change in health, education, and sports for children.”

January 28, 2025: Sara Tendulkar, daughter of cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, has officially joined the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation (STF) as Director, marking a new chapter in the Foundation’s mission to impact lives through health, education, and sports. The milestone was celebrated at an intimate event titled “Shine Brighter Together,” held at The Bombay Club in Mumbai, commemorating five years of the Foundation’s transformative work.

The evening saw heartfelt tributes from family, friends, well-wishers, and NGO partners, reaffirming STF’s commitment to bettering lives, particularly those of children. Over the last half-decade, STF has positively impacted over 100,000 young lives through strategic partnerships with more than 15 non-profit organizations.

In her first official engagement as Director, Sara Tendulkar shared her excitement about taking on the role. “Growing up, I was always inspired by my family’s dedication to giving back. Witnessing the Foundation’s work firsthand, I’ve seen how it creates hope not just for children but their entire families. Over the last five years, we’ve touched over 100,000 young lives, and that motivates us to keep going,” Sara said.

Reflecting on her new journey, Sara added, “As Director, I cannot wait to build on what my parents started and ensure every little dream is noticed and nurtured. Together, we will light up a world of possibilities for children who are our future.”

The event featured a short film showcasing STF’s impactful projects, shining a spotlight on its collaborative work with NGO partners. The program also included a candid conversation between Sachin Tendulkar and Coldplay’s Chris Martin, adding a touch of global warmth to the celebration.

Through its focus on health, education, and sports, the Foundation aims to empower young dreamers and provide them with opportunities to achieve their aspirations. With Sara stepping into a leadership role, STF is set to expand its reach and create an even larger impact.
