During a press conference at the Chhipa Welfare Organisation, Robinson demanded $100,000 from the Pakistani government, claiming she needed $20,000 immediately and additional weekly allowances to stay in the country.
Despite offers of assistance from NGOs, including a return ticket and financial aid, Robinson initially refused to leave Pakistan, even claiming she had married Memon online and planned to move to Dubai with him.
Her situation drew further scrutiny after a man identifying himself as her son, Jeremiah Robinson, revealed to Pakistani media that she suffers from a “mental bipolar disorder.”
After months of media coverage and viral social media posts, Robinson has now returned to the US, concluding a saga that mixed personal drama with public spectacle.
