Epstein-accuser and survivor advocate leaves handwritten letter urging unity and justice for victims
April 30, 2025: Virginia Giuffre, the prominent survivor and whistleblower who exposed the dark underworld of Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking ring and accused Prince Andrew of abuse, left behind a powerful handwritten letter before taking her own life last week at age 41. Her family has now made that note public.
In her final message, shared by sister-in-law Amanda Roberts on Facebook, Giuffre wrote:
“Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, and Brothers need to show the battle lines are drawn, and we stand together to fight for the future of victims.”
She added,
“Is protesting the answer? I don’t know. But we’ve got to start somewhere.”
Roberts emphasized that Giuffre’s voice “will not be silenced,” and urged survivors to continue the fight she dedicated her life to.
Giuffre’s tragic death comes after a turbulent few months. In March, she posted a hospital selfie on Instagram, claiming she was struck by a school bus and diagnosed with renal failure, with doctors giving her just “four days to live.” However, local Australian police later reported the incident as a “minor crash with no injuries.”
Six days after her hospitalization, she was reportedly discharged. Now, her passing is officially confirmed as suicide. Her family said Giuffre was a lifelong victim of abuse who fought tirelessly for others:
“She was the light that lifted so many survivors… She will be missed beyond measure.”
Giuffre made global headlines in 2021 when she sued Prince Andrew, alleging he sexually assaulted her when she was a teenager. Though the Duke of York denied wrongdoing, the case was settled out of court in 2022, leading to him being stripped of military titles and royal patronages by Queen Elizabeth II.

Giuffre is survived by her three children, Christian, Noah, and Emily. Her death marks a sobering moment for survivor communities and justice advocates worldwide.
