Woman Sues Over ₹16.6 Crore ‘Versace Tower’ Flat For Missing a Bathtub

An accountant who invested in a ₹16.6 crore (£1.5 million) luxury flat in a Versace-designed tower in London has taken legal action against the developers—over a missing bathtub.

Mi Suk Park, who bought the property as a retirement home for herself and her husband, claims she was misled into believing the apartment in the Aykon London One building would offer “ultimate luxury.” The interiors were promoted as part of a high-profile collaboration with the iconic fashion house Versace.
According to The Telegraph, Park paid a ₹4.2 crore (£381,000) deposit for a two-bedroom apartment and a parking space in the 50-storey Nine Elms tower. She sold her previous home in 2019, expecting to move in by 2020—but the flat was handed over two years late, in 2022.
Upon taking possession, Park discovered one of the two bathrooms had no bathtub, and one bedroom was smaller than expected. Feeling misled, she filed a suit in Central London County Court, demanding more than ₹7.7 crore (£700,000) in compensation.
“The apartment was an ‘off-plan’ purchase with clear specifications. It was supposed to include two bathrooms, each with a bathtub,” said her lawyer, Nazar Mohammad. “The final build is materially and manifestly different from the agreed plan.”
The developers, a Jersey-based entity owned by a Dubai parent company, have countersued, alleging Park breached the agreement by refusing to complete the purchase.
Developer’s counsel, Rupert Cohen, argued the brochure only provided “typical layouts” and not fixed dimensions or features. He claimed the floor plan signed by Park allowed for variations.
The developers served Park a notice to complete the sale in November 2022, and after no action was taken, terminated the agreement in January 2023. Park initiated legal proceedings in April 2023. The case is currently ongoing.
