The daily arrival of over 100 tons of fish from neighbouring states in Agartala city is flagged as the cause of substantial traffic congestion in the city. The new Fish Transhipment Yard has been built to solve this problem.
“Development initiatives have been actively progressing in the state under the guiding principles set forth by the Prime Minister, and the establishment of the meat transport yard at Nagicherra stands as a significant milestone in this trajectory. It is expected that this development will accelerate progress in the Nagicherra region in the days ahead,” CM Saha said.
According to officials, Nagichara Fish Transhipment Yard has been launched as Tripura’s first such place that will give drivers and vehicle workers who are involved in transporting fish time for relaxation, food centre, and sleep.
