Tupac Shakur’s Stepbrother, Casts Doubt on Diddy’s Denial of Involvement in Rapper’s Murder-Watch

October 13, 2024: Mopreme Shakur, stepbrother of the late Tupac Shakur, has voiced skepticism about Sean “Diddy” Combs’ denial of any involvement in the 1996 murder of the legendary rapper. During an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Mopreme stated that he doesn’t believe Diddy was “100 percent honest” when he denied having any role in the fatal drive-by shooting.

The resurfaced allegations come after Tupac’s family reportedly hired high-profile attorney Alex Sapiro to investigate Diddy’s potential connection to the murder, following the recent arrest of Duane “Keefe D” Davis, a key figure charged in Tupac’s killing. Davis had previously claimed that Diddy offered $1 million to have Tupac murdered—a claim that has reignited interest in the decades-old case.

Mopreme reflected on a phone call he received from Diddy in 2008, where the music mogul personally denied any involvement in Tupac’s death. This followed a controversial L.A. Times article that alleged associates of Diddy were involved in the 1994 shooting of Tupac, an incident that left him injured. The L.A. Times later retracted the article due to inaccuracies, but Mopreme remains doubtful about Diddy’s truthfulness.

“My opinion is that it wasn’t a 100 percent honest statement,” Mopreme said, reacting to Diddy’s claim that neither he nor The Notorious B.I.G. had any knowledge of an attack on Tupac. He continued, “We’ve got to find out what’s true and what’s false, what’s real and what’s fake.”

During the interview, Mopreme acknowledged that the full truth behind Tupac’s murder has yet to emerge, despite nearly 30 years passing since the drive-by shooting in Las Vegas. When asked if he believed Diddy was lying, Mopreme replied, “Quite possibly, and it’s starting to look that way, in my opinion.”

While Sean “Diddy” Combs has never been arrested, charged, or indicted in connection with Tupac’s murder, Mopreme believes that now is the time for the allegations to be revisited, particularly in light of new developments in the case. The recent arrest of Keefe D, who confessed to police about Diddy’s alleged involvement, has added fresh fuel to the ongoing speculation.

The Shakur family remains hopeful that justice will eventually prevail, as the mystery surrounding Tupac’s tragic death continues to captivate the public.
