Australian women’s captain Alyssa Healy talked about the team’s success in the white-ball format against the hosts after the team won the three-match T20I series 2-1 against India Women. Healy declared that Australia had only played “two and a half days” of terrible cricket, and he was happy with the lessons learned from the series. “I simply couldn’t be more proud of this group of people. We are spending more than a month in India, where we usually spend this time of year at home with our families. This is the first time that we have been away from home,” Healy was cited by ESPNcricinfo.
“We have played two and a half terrible days of cricket in the month that we have been here—one and a half days in the Test match and one T20 match—and I am extremely proud of the team. On the strength of that, hopefully, we can have a really successful 2024,” the southpaw continued. Healy gave Phoebe Litchfield a lot of credit after she finished the white-ball series with 344 runs at an 86 average. “I was joking sitting on the bench that I remember when I was that fearless when you come out and you have lost two wickets in an over and play a ramp over the keeper for four,” the left-handed opener insisted.
“Amazing talent, but she also has a good head on her shoulders. She has blended in well with our squad and will be crucial to our success in these conditions in the Bangladesh [T20] World Cup [2024] and the ODI World Cup [2025] in the next 18 months. The wicketkeeper continued, “She is amazing to watch, and I hope she has a long and prosperous career for Australia.
