Arun Dhumal says, “IPL is the best Made in India brand post-independence.”

Arun Dhumal, the chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL), praised the league for being the greatest “Made in India” brand since independence.
Speaking this week in Bengaluru, at the RCB Innovation Lab’s Leaders Meet India, was Arun Dhumal.
Speaking about the fan insights and engagement of the Indian Premier League and its teams, Dhumal stated, “We are partners and we work as a team with all the franchises.” Fans supported both Team India and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) during the most recent World Cup matches, which is fantastic and something we are really proud of. For me, the Indian Premier League is the greatest Made in India brand that has emerged since independence.”

Across all sports leagues in the world, the Indian Premier League (IPL) is only surpassed by the National Football League (NFL) in terms of media rights, which have increased from INR 6,000 crores to INR 48,000 crores. According to a press release from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Dhumal thinks the league’s broad appeal and success will serve as a catalyst in its evolution over the next ten years.
“We anticipate media rights to reach close to USD 50 billion by around 2043, if I have to look at how it has gone over the last 15 years and if I have to go by estimates going forward.

I see a lot of hope and light at the end of the tunnel now that women’s cricket is included in the Olympics and the Women’s Premier League is raising the bar for the sport. It will only get better because of the way things have been going for the past fifteen years,” he declared.
The largest game changers from the sports world came together for RCB Innovation Lab’s Leaders Meet India, which provided a truly global perspective on the state of the sports industry today and how India can rise to prominence in the industry.

Examining how the Indian Premier League (IPL) has helped to distinguish India from the rest of the world, Dhumal said, “IPL is the most watched cricket league in the world. Our fans come from all over the world to watch, and they get to witness India’s rich diversity and culture. Teams are dispersed throughout the nation, so they will watch a match from the north to the south or the east to the west. Although there are many different states, cultures, and languages spoken throughout our nation, this is one platform that is so deeply ingrained that it allows you to highlight India to the rest of the world.”
