Australia wins toss, chose to bat against Pakistan in 1st Test
At the Optus Stadium on Thursday, Australia’s captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat first in the opening Test of the three-match series. The World Test Championship 2023–25 table will be largely determined by the results of the three-match series for both teams.
During the toss, Australia captain Pat Cummins remarked, “This year has been special. We’ve played a lot of cricket together.” We have a decent record and play fairly well here. A bounce and pace Australian ground. It’s no secret that Nathan is the key member of our bowling lineup, so it’s wonderful to have him back.
At the time of the toss, Pakistani captain Shan Masood declared, “We wanted to have a bat as well.” You need to focus on your bowling game and forget about the toss. We’ve practiced matches and had some excellent preparation. It’s the ultimate game and we want to play more Test cricket. We have a few elite players on the team.” Australia (Starting XI): Pat Cummins (c), Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood, Steven Smith, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, Alex Carey (w), David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, and
