HAR Hockey, Army Boys registers win: Hockey India Junior, Sub-Junior Academy Championship 2023

On the fourth day of the 1st Hockey India Junior and Sub Junior Men Academy Championship 2023 – (Zone A), Army Boys Sports Company, Salute Hockey Academy, Markandeshwar Hockey Academy, and Namdhari XI emerged victorious in the Junior category, while HAR Hockey Academy and Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy triumphed in their respective matches in the Sub Junior category.
For the second straight game, HAR Hockey Academy wins: Bhai Behlo Academy Bhagta was defeated 14-0 by HAR Hockey Academy in the Sub Junior Category opening match. Amarjeet scored a brace (41′, 53′), while Sahil (7′, 20′, 22′, 27′, 43′) and Monu (12′, 28′, 30′, 48′) each scored nine goals. For HAR Hockey Academy, Aman (18′), Ankit (21′), and Goyat Sourabh (51′) each scored a goal.

Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy secures a pair of victories: Cheema Hockey Academy was defeated 18-1 by Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy in the Sub Junior Category’s second match. Phalswal Pankaj (29′, 49′, 52′, 60′) and Kunal (2′, 6′, 22′, 59′) each scored four goals. Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy’s goals were scored by Jatin (7′), Nishant (10′), Jay (45′), Kumar Mandeep (53′), Yuvraj Singh (55′), and Kataria Hitesh (4′, 15′, 38′), Pryash (37′, 53′), and a brace. For Cheema Hockey Academy, Goyalpreet Singh (23′) scored the lone goal.

Army Boys Sports Company defeated Bhai Behlo Academy Bhagta 10-0 in the Junior Category opening match. As Army Boys Sports Academy continued their unbeaten run in the tournament, Ashish (21′, 39′), Samir (28′, 35′), and Ankush (23′, 41′) scored braces. Nitesh Sharma (6′), Manjeet (14′), Raman (32′), and Kumar Sahil (43′) each contributed a goal.
Salute Hockey Academy achieves their first triumph: Salute Hockey Academy defeated Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy 3-1 in the Junior Category’s second match. Salute Hockey Academy’s first goal came from Vishwjeet (5′), but Yuvraj Singh (34′), the academy captain of Ghumanhera Riser, tied the score in the third quarter. Yogesh (51′) and Jatin (60′) goals for Salute Hockey Academy sealed their first tournament victory in the last quarter.

In their opening match, Markandeshwar Hockey Academy prevails: Markandeshwar Hockey Academy defeated Cheema Hockey Academy 4-2 in the Junior Category’s third game. For Markandeshwar Hockey Academy, Karambir Singh (29′, 47′) scored a brace, while Kumar Parveen (50′) and Sahil (57′) each scored a goal. Despite goals from Divyanshu Sharma (48′) and Charanjit Singh (26′) for Cheema Hockey Academy, they were unable to overcome Markandeshwar Hockey Academy, who went on to win the competition for the first time.
Namdhari XI wins the second straight match: Raja Karan Hockey Academy was beaten 6-1 by Namdhari XI in the Junior Category’s fourth game. With two goals each, Navraj Singh (19′, 49′) of the Namdhari XI captain led from the front with a brace. Yash Budh (11′), Yuvraj Singh (24′), Pawel Singh (50′), and Rampal Sharma (57′) also scored goals. In the fourth quarter, Raja Karan Hockey Academy’s lone goal was scored by Raghav (51′).
