November 14, 2024: Jaaved Jaaferi, known for his comedic genius, has been a beloved figure in Indian cinema for many years, and his role in Dhamaal (2007) remains one of his most iconic performances. The film’s success led to sequels like Double Dhamaal (2011) and Total Dhamaal (2019), and it seems the comedy franchise is far from over.
Jaaferi confirmed that a Dhamaal 4 is in the works, with shooting set to begin early next year. Jaaferi shared his personal favorite of the series, saying the first film is still the best for him, even as the franchise continues to expand.
Beyond the Dhamaal series, Jaaferi also reflected on how comedy and filmmaking have evolved over the years, noting how cinema mirrors the world around it. He pointed out that, like music, cinema changes over time to reflect the social and cultural shifts of different decades. His thoughts on the evolution of comedy and art underline his deep understanding of the creative process.
In addition to Dhamaal 4, Jaaferi is set to star in the upcoming series The Magic of Shiri, where he will share the screen with Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya. The series, which unveils the journey of a woman pursuing her dreams in the mystical world of magic, will be available on JioCinema Premium starting November 14. This new project adds another exciting dimension to Jaaferi’s already diverse career.
With the Dhamaal franchise continuing and his new project in the pipeline, Jaaved Jaaferi’s career is definitely in full swing!
