Simon Grayson of Bengaluru FC says, “We have to get back to winning ways”

Head coach Simon Grayson of Bengaluru FC wants his team to start winning again in the Indian Super League (ISL) as they get ready to play Mumbai City FC on Friday at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.
With seven points from eight games, the Blues are now ninth in the league standings. This season, they have won just once, drawn four times, and lost three games. Just three points have been earned by Bengaluru FC in their last four league games.
Mumbai City FC has won three games and drawn two, placing them fifth in the league standings with 11 points from five games. Grayson is aware of the Islanders’ strategy from his four ISL matches against them last season, and he is eager to get back to winning ways against Mumbai City FC. “We are aware of what to anticipate from them. We are aware of their main players, their advantages and disadvantages. It is something we are eager to see. We need to return as soon as possible to our winning ways. In the pre-match press conference, Grayson said, “We have drawn too many games from winning positions,” as cited by ISL.
Bengaluru FC has used the Sree Kanteerava Stadium as a fortress in recent years, and this season is no exception. They are still undefeated at home after securing five of their eight points while playing there. In the forthcoming game, Grayson hopes to give the supporters something to cheer for because he understands the importance of their home field. “We know our home stadium is a special place for our supporters,” Grayson said. Both with and without the ball, we must play with passion and character. We have to play at a purposeful tempo and give the fans the best show we can,” Grayson continued.
At the pre-game press conference, head coach Simon Grayson was joined by forward Curtis Main of Bengaluru FC. This season, he has participated in seven games and scored two goals.

Main believes that the Blues will benefit greatly from home support and wants his team to play with intent against Mumbai City FC. “We need to think positively. Although we are good, we are aware that they are a good side. We intend to carry the game to Mumbai City FC and capitalise on the enthusiastic support of our supporters,” Main stated. Despite the results, Main thinks Bengaluru FC is starting to establish a rhythm in the attacking third as the team has scored seven goals in their last four games.
We seem to be settling into a slight rhythm at this point. We’re hoping to improve our form and get some good results from our next games,” Main stated.
