WI Announced:15-Member Squads for White Ball Seri Against Australia

The T20I and ODI series between West Indies and Australia will take place from February 2–13. The West Indies named 15-player teams for the series. The ODI team has two players who could make their debuts: Teddy Bishop and Tevin Imlach, who plays wicketkeeper and batsman. Bishop was called up because he did well in the West Indies 50-over league.

This season also sees the return of Hayden Walsh Jr., Kavem Hodge, and Justin Greaves after they were hurt. Star players Brandon King and Sherfane Rutherford, on the other hand, were not available for selection, and Shimron Hetmyer and Yannic Carriah were also left off the team. Desmond Haynes, the lead selection, told the team to keep up the good work they did in Australia while also getting ready for the much-anticipated T20 World Cup, which will be held in their own country in June.

“After beating England in a series, we think our ODI team will be very strong in Australia.” According to the ICC, Haynes said, “We have some new players who have impressed over a long period of time and a couple of returning players who we think will make an impact.”
“For the T20I series, this is an important part of our preparations for the T20 World Cup, which we are hosting next year.” “We hope to build on our strong overall performances against India and England and keep getting better as the big tournament gets closer,” Haynes said. Before the ODI series starts, the two teams will play a Test series that starts on January 17.

The first ODI will be in Melbourne on February 2, and the last one will be in Canberra on February 6. It will begin on February 9 in Hobart and end on February 13 in Perth.

ODI squad: Shai Hope (Captain), Alzarri Joseph, Alick Athanaze, Teddy Bishop, Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Justin Greaves, Kavem Hodge, Tevin Imlach, Gudakesh Motie, Kjorn Ottley, Romario Shepherd, Oshane Thomas, Hayden Walsh Jr.
