WPL 2024 likely to host by Delhi and Bengaluru

A source from the BCCI says that Delhi and Bengaluru will likely host the next version of the exciting Women’s Premier League (WPL) this year. The first event took place in March 2023 in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. A BCCI source stated that the event will now be held in more places. “Women IPL will be held in Delhi and Bangalore this year Board aims to make League bigger and better,” a BCCI source told ANI.

Fans all over India will get twice as much cricket fever this time because two exciting towns will be in the spotlight. It’s a tough race for the title, with five teams ready to give it their all: UP Warriorz, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Giants, Delhi Capitals, and Mumbai Indians.

Once the WPL 2024 sale was over in December of last year, teams had already chosen players for their teams. Kashvee Gautam made history at the 2024 Women’s Premier League sale by becoming the most expensive player who had never played for her country. She was bought by Gujarat Giants for a huge INR 2 crore.
Remember how exciting it was when Harmanpreet Kaur led Mumbai Indians to a 7-wicket win over Delhi Capitals in the final of the first season of the Women’s Premier League 2023 (WPL)?
