October 10, 2024: TJ Gnanavel, who made waves with his film Jai Bhim, has now delivered another highly anticipated project, Vettaiyan, which hit theaters today, starring the legendary Rajinikanth. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film features a star-studded cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, and Abhirami.

Vettaiyan marks a significant cinematic moment as it introduces Amitabh Bachchan to Tamil cinema, with powerful performances and gripping themes.

TJ Gnanavel shared insights about the development of Vettaiyan, saying, “I was asked if I had any story. I already had this story which is good for the audience also. I went and narrated it. They liked it and that is how things fell in place.”

Recently, makers unveiled the trailer.

The trailer of Vettaiyan, recently unveiled, has drawn attention for its intense storyline centered on justice and police extrajudicial actions. Rajinikanth plays a cop who advocates for taking the law into their own hands to combat injustice, while Amitabh Bachchan’s character, Sathyadev, offers a counterpoint with his iconic dialogue: “Justice delayed is justice denied; justice hurried is justice buried.”

With music by Anirudh Ravichander, Vettaiyan not only excites fans of Rajinikanth but also adds another layer of depth by exploring the moral dilemmas surrounding law enforcement.

Beyond Vettaiyan, TJ Gnanavel is gearing up for another major project titled Dosa King, co-written with Hemanth Rao. This Pan-Indian film, inspired by the true events of the legal battle between Jeevajothi Santhakumar and P. Rajagopal, the founder of the Saravana Bhavan empire, promises to be a gripping tale of ambition, justice, and the rise and fall of a culinary giant. Dosa King is in pre-production, with Junglee Pictures acquiring exclusive rights to portray the fascinating saga of Jeevajothi’s fight for justice.
