Victoria Beckham Set to Star in Netflix Docuseries

Victoria Beckham, the pop icon turned fashion designer, is set to take center stage in a new Netflix docuseries that promises to offer an intimate look into her multifaceted life.

The streaming giant announced the production today, highlighting that the series will explore Beckham’s journey as a fashion mogul, businesswoman, and mother.

The upcoming docuseries will provide a deep dive into Beckham’s rise as a prominent fashion designer, showcasing her business ventures and personal life. According to Netflix, the series will feature “an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Victoria’s business, access to Victoria, her family, those closest to her, and her fashion journey, including never-before-seen archive footage.”

The series will be executive produced by Nicola Howson, known for her Emmy-nominated work on Beckham, and Julia Nottingham, a BAFTA-nominated producer with credits including Pamela: A Love Story. The project is backed by Studio 99 and Dorothy St Pictures, as reported by People magazine.

This new docuseries follows the success of Beckham, a four-part series that chronicled the life and career of Victoria’s husband, soccer legend David Beckham. The previous series, which detailed David’s rise to fame, received widespread acclaim and attention. The upcoming series aims to offer a similarly detailed look at Victoria’s life, blending her professional accomplishments with personal insights.

Victoria Beckham, now 50, first rose to fame in the 1990s as a member of the iconic Spice Girls. After the group’s breakup in the early 2000s, she successfully transitioned into the fashion industry, launching her eponymous fashion line in 2008 and Victoria Beckham Beauty in 2019. She married David Beckham in 1999, and the couple shares four children.

Reflecting on her experience filming the previous docuseries about her husband, Victoria described the process as “quite liberating.” She noted that while she typically plays a more controlling role during filming, she took a step back to support David’s story. “I was very mindful that usually when I did my filming, I would be controlling,” she said, adding, “But this was very much about David, and so I took the approach of, ‘I’m just going to be very easy going here.'”

The Beckham series had a significant impact, with Victoria emerging as a fan favorite and sparking widespread social media engagement. One memorable moment featured Victoria humorously discussing her family’s background, revealing that her father drove a Rolls-Royce during the 1980s—a detail that became a popular meme and even inspired themed merchandise.
