The President assured full federal support and confirmed that the FBI is treating the incident as an act of terrorism.
In a statement issued by the White House, President Biden revealed that he is receiving regular updates from federal law enforcement agencies and homeland security teams, including Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, Homeland Security Advisor Liz Sherwood-Randall, and New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell.
“I am grateful for the brave and swift response of local law enforcement in preventing even greater casualties.
