BLA Threatens Execution of Pakistani Hostages Amidst Military Strikes in Balochistan

“One More Attack, Ten More Executions” – Baloch Insurgents Issue Ultimatum to Pakistan

Quetta, March 12: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has issued a 48-hour ultimatum, threatening to execute ten Pakistani hostages in response to drone strikes and artillery shelling by Pakistan’s military. The warning comes as tensions escalate in Bolan district, Balochistan, where BLA insurgents have seized control of the Jaffar Express train, holding over 200 military and security personnel hostage, according to The Balochistan Post.

In a media statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch accused Pakistan’s forces of reckless military aggression, claiming that airstrikes and shelling targeted BLA positions near the hijacked train. He asserted that the insurgent group suffered no casualties due to their “superior defensive strategies and full battlefield control.”

“Pakistan’s military is acting out of war madness and stubbornness,” Jeeyand Baloch stated. “They have failed to engage responsibly in prisoner negotiations and are instead resorting to indiscriminate bombings.”

BLA’s Dire Warning: Immediate Executions if Attacked Again

Issuing a stern warning, Jeeyand Baloch declared:

“In response to today’s reckless bombardment, we are forced to execute ten more hostages immediately. If Pakistani forces launch another attack—even a single bullet—ten additional hostages will be executed immediately.”

Meanwhile, Pakistani military sources claim that at least 13 BLA insurgents have been killed in combat, with several others wounded. However, these reports remain unverified, and the BLA has dismissed them as “fabrications meant to mislead the public and conceal the army’s failure.”

“Pakistani state institutions are attempting to hide their failure by claiming successes they have not achieved,” Jeeyand Baloch alleged.

Hostage Situation Escalates as Deadline Nears

The hostage crisis began Tuesday afternoon when BLA fighters hijacked the Jaffar Express near Machh, Balochistan, capturing over 200 Pakistani military, paramilitary, police, and intelligence personnel. The group initially issued a 48-hour ultimatum, demanding the release of detained Baloch political prisoners and forcibly disappeared activists.

BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch further stated that their fighters successfully repelled Pakistani reinforcements after eight hours of intense combat.

With less than 40 hours remaining on the ultimatum, the BLA has reiterated its warning:

“If our demands are not met, or if Pakistani forces attempt any further military intervention, all prisoners of war will be executed, and the seized train will be completely destroyed.”

Pakistan’s Response Awaited

Pakistani authorities have yet to issue an official response to the BLA’s demands or recent threats, leaving the situation highly volatile and unpredictable. Military reinforcements continue to be deployed in the region, and further developments are expected soon.
