According to university officials, the attack happened about 20 minutes into Kirk’s presentation when gunfire rang out from a nearby building. Students and attendees were thrown into chaos as panic spread across the campus.

Eyewitness footage from the event captured the terrifying moments—students sprinting to safety as the sound of gunshots echoed, while Kirk, seated under a tent emblazoned with the words “The American Comeback,” appeared to collapse backward, bleeding from his neck.

The university confirmed that Kirk was the only person injured. The suspected shooter has already been taken into custody.
