Debris From Interception Kills Driver In Dubai
Pakistani driver dies as falling debris hits vehicle amid escalating West Asia conflict
March 8, 2026: The Dubai Media Office confirmed that debris from an aerial interception fell onto a vehicle in the Al Barsha area of Dubai, killing a Pakistani driver. Authorities also reported a minor incident on the facade of a tower in Dubai Marina, though no injuries were recorded there. The incidents come as tensions in West Asia intensify and missile interceptions continue across parts of the Gulf.
Meanwhile, Iranian state media IRNA, citing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), claimed that the Haifa Oil Refinery in Haifa, Israel was struck by Kheibarshekan missile. Reports also indicated airstrikes targeting an oil storage facility in Tehran, while Hezbollah said it launched missiles toward the Haifa naval base and fired rockets at Kiryat Shmona.
According to sources cited by The Jerusalem Post, the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes on oil resources near Tehran linked to Iran’s military-industrial network. The escalation follows a joint military strike by the United States and Israel on February 28 that reportedly killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iran later retaliated with missile and drone attacks targeting US assets and allied countries across the region, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan.
