As Israel-Iran war intensifies, US President signals military strength and slams Biden over Ukraine arms
March 3, 2026: As hostilities between Israel and Iran escalate with Washington’s backing, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that America possesses a “virtually unlimited supply” of key munitions. Posting on Truth Social, Trump said U.S. reserves of medium- and upper-medium grade weapons “have never been higher or better,” asserting that wars could theoretically be fought “forever” using existing stockpiles. While acknowledging that high-end weapons inventories are “not where we want to be,” he added that advanced systems are strategically deployed in allied nations, reflecting what he described as strong military preparedness amid mounting global tensions.
Trump also took aim at former President Joe Biden, alleging that large quantities of premium military equipment were sent to Ukraine without proper replenishment. He argued that his administration had rebuilt America’s armed forces during his first term and maintained that the country is now “stocked, and ready to WIN, BIG.” His remarks signal a shift from earlier rhetoric focused on limiting overseas entanglements, as the U.S. plays an active role in supporting Israel against Iran.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that prolonged instability in the Middle East could disrupt vital military assistance to Kyiv. Stressing Ukraine’s dependence on U.S. air defence ammunition to counter missile and drone strikes, Zelensky cautioned that any diversion of resources to the Israel-Iran conflict could complicate supply chains and reshape battlefield dynamics in Eastern Europe. As tensions widen across regions, Trump’s comments have intensified debate over America’s military readiness and its capacity to sustain multiple global commitments.
