Hezbollah [Lebanon], November 15 – Hezbollah announced it had launched “qualitative missiles” targeting what it identified as Israel’s Tel Haim military base, approximately 120 kilometers from the Lebanese border, Al Jazeera reported. The group claimed the base serves Israel’s military intelligence but did not disclose further details on potential damage. The Israeli military has yet to issue a response.
In a separate series of strikes, Hezbollah reported firing rockets toward the Kiryat Shmona settlement and other northern Israeli communities near the Lebanon border. Earlier, Israel conducted an airstrike on a civil defense center near Baalbek, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry, which reported 12 casualties and ongoing efforts to clear the rubble.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) disclosed Thursday that approximately 200 Hezbollah members had been killed, and 140 rocket launchers destroyed in recent operations in southern Lebanon. The IDF said these launchers posed “an immediate threat” to northern Israeli communities. Among those targeted were Hezbollah commanders overseeing operations in the coastal sector.
Hezbollah’s attacks follow the October 7 Hamas assault on southern Israel, which killed at least 1,200 people and resulted in 252 hostages taken. Hezbollah has since intensified its daily rocket attacks on northern Israel, contributing to the displacement of over 68,000 residents from the region.
